There are many ways to support Bethany of the Northwest’s Foundation
Your gifts may be unrestricted and used in the area of greatest need, or you may specify that your gift be targeted to a particular program or purpose. Some people use annual giving to support the on-going need of Bethany, while others use gift planning to leave a legacy or make major gifts during their lifetime. Others may choose to share the gift of time or talent by volunteering for a Bethany event or committee.
Credit Card/Checks/Cash: We accept personal checks payable to Bethany of the Northwest Foundation. Gifts can also be made online using a credit/debit card. Bethany can also set up a reoccurring gift if you choose to give on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis.
Honor Gifts: Honor gifts are used to pay respect to a family member, work associate, or a friend. The contributions are made in the name of an individual, and the honored individual is notified that an honor gift was given in their name. Honor gifts can also be made to celebrate a special event.
In Memory Gifts: In Memory Gifts are used to pay respect to a family member, friend, or associated that has passed away. The contributions are made in the name of the deceased individual, and the family of the individual is notified that a gift was made in their loved ones name.
Gifts of Appreciated Securities, Real Estate, Closely Held Stocks: These are alternatives to cash/credit card gifts. These gifts generate a double tax benefit. Donors receive an income tax deduction for the full fair market value of the property, while avoiding capital gains taxes. Please call the Foundation for more information.
Employee Giving: Bethany would like to thank all the staff members who generously support our mission and the Foundation through their giving. Payroll deductions are used often and it is a convenient, safe way for employees to contribute from each paycheck. If you are currently not giving, and would like to, there is a payroll deduction form available on our website, or in our payroll department on the 4th Floor. We encourage you to participate at any level you are comfortable with.
Restricted Gifts: Designated to a particular Bethany facility, program, or activity.
Planned Giving/Bequests: A simple intention in your Will/Estate can make a tremendous difference in the lives of many after your passing. Over the years, Bethany has been blessed with Estate Gifts that have left a legacy to help others for years to come. To leave Bethany of the Northwest Foundation in your estate plans, please contact Ken Hammond, Director of Development, 425-551-6403, email@example.com. Bethany of the Northwest is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Federal Tax ID #94-3095265.
